Sharing coaching ideas in a comfortable environment is one of the best methods of improving yourself as a coach. This is why, for the 13th year in a row, Tom Hilbert will host the Colorado State Volleyball Coaches Clinic. The clinic will be held on campus here in Fort Collins on Friday and Saturday, February 3-4 2012.

Once again we will feature the Rams Volleyball Staff along with top-notch guest speakers.

Our goal is to give an opportunity to all Colorado Coaches to share volleyball knowledge in a stimulating environment.

The fee for our clinic is $115,and included dinner on Friday, as well as a continental breakfast on Saturday, besides access to all class and on court sessions offered.

Arnd ‘Lupo’ Ludwig

In January 2009, Volleyball Canada hired Arnd ‘Lupo’ Ludwig as the new Women’s National Team head coach. Having experienced international women’s volleyball first hand as the assistant coach with Germany’s National Women’s Team from 1999-2002, Ludwig’s resume includes appearances at the 2002 FIVB World Grand Prix (Asia), 2001 European Championship (Bulgaria) and the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. Ludwig also has 10 years of coaching success within the German Division-I Bundesliga. His first task with Team Canada was qualifying for the 2010 World Championship in Japan. He was successful at doing this, and now he looks ahead at the challenging task of qualifying for the 2012 Olympic Games, something that the women’s national team hasn’t done since 1996. Since he started in 2009, Ludwig has coached 71 international matches with Team Canada.

Bill Peer

Bill Peer is the current head coach and club director for the nationally recognized Colorado Juniors Volleyball Club. During his time at CJ, he has led the program to 60 appearances at the USAV Junior Nationals, including 24 in the open level. Collegiately, Peer spent 11 seasons at the head coach at the United States Air Force Academy, leading the Falcons to 11 top-20 finishes, two conference championships and one Final Four appearance. Peer also has 33 years of experience as a USAV National referee and scorekeeper.

Pi’i Aiu

Pi’i Aiu is the former head volleyball coach at the University of Colorado and the current head volleyball coach for NORCO Volleyball Club’s 18 Black team. In his 10-year tenure at the University of Colorado, Aiu compiled a 199-154 record. His teams advanced to the NCAA tournament nine of his 10 seasons, including five second-round appearances and one Sweet Sixteen appearance. CU has 45 victories over ranked opponents, with 28 coming under Aiu’s watch. Aiu has seen his players rack up numerous honors on and off the court, including four All-Americans, two Academic All-Americans, four Academic All-District selections and 11 All-Region, 24 All-Conference and 58 Academic All-Conference honors during his tenure.
